THE ANTIQUE CONNECTION MALL closed on April 15th, 2022.  After being in business for almost 30 years, we decided to sell the property and move into a new phase of our lives.

Morning Glory and Antique Connection do have a web site that is still active of course, and we hope to continue to see you there too.

The MORNING GLORY ANTIQUES & JEWELRY web site can still be seen by clicking HERE.

I am still buying vintage, designer, rhinestone and bakelite jewelry and sterling, and my husband John deals in vintage radios, record players, and Native American jewelry.

These photos show some of the things we buy and sell.

SCHIAPARELLI brooch with brown and gray unfoiled cabochon rhinestones and faceted aurora borealis, circa 1960 and a nice size at 2-5/8". It is not signed, but pieces in this style were signed on the earrings clip backs, not on the brooches.  The bracelet that matches this can be seen in the book "Bijoux" by Dena F. Cera on page 246.   View   View   #S23002

RIVOLI spectacular large brooch with very colorful green and rose colored rivoli and green and aurora borealis rhinestones all set in a gold tone metal, circa 1960 and  2-1/2" across. This is the most beautiful rivoli I have ever seen of this kind.    View   View   #Y51000

BLUMENTHAL flower brooches with bullet cabochons and green bakelite leaves. Signed on the back "B Blumenthal Inc" and 4-1/4" by 3-1/3", circa 1930.  Even though the leaves look like bakelite, they don't test positive, but it is possible that the leaves have a wash on them that keeps them from testing.    View   View   View   #X36062

JULIANA D&E zebra necklace and brooch, 15-1/2" by 7/8", brooch 2" by 1-3/4", both set in gold tone metal and from the 1960s.  Juliana jewelry was marked, if at all, by paper hang-tags only. This same style also came with other hang-tags, though, so while we refer to it as "Juliana style", it was actually made in the 1960’s by DeLizza & Elster (William DeLizza & Harold Elster, New York City, NY).   View   View   View   View   #J41800

DEROSA floral fur clip with orange, caramel and green enameling, clear rhinestones and glass pearls, 3-1/2".  It was made in the 1940s like so many of my favorite pieces. This amazing piece of jewelry is signed "R DeRosa" on the back and like many DeRosa pieces, this is a very rare one.    View   #d34650

DEROSA flower basket fur clip with a white, pink, blue and yellow enameled flower bouquet in a clear unfoiled trapezium shaped rhinestone basket with red glass bead stamen and clear and green rhinestones.  Made in the early 1940s, it is 2-3/4". This is signed "R DeRosa" on the back.  View   View   #d34240

My very favorite... DeRosa jewelry.

VICTORIAN silver extra wide waistcoat hinged bangle with cuff and button motif.  Applied rose and yellow gold flowers and leaves and etched tendrils decorate the front, with bands of gold to form the cuff, a beaded edge, and wonderful detail, circa 1880. It is marked inside 'JA Duplex Reliance, Robinson's patent. This is a bangle for a standard sized arm at 7" smallest inside dimension, and a nice wide 2" wide at the front. Rare and in lovely condition.    View   View   View   View   #V35264

PLEASE NOTE: It is no longer possible to respond to individual questions regarding jewelry history, identification or value, or to offer written or verbal appraisals or opinions. The demand for this kind of information is absolutely too overwhelming for one dealer to fill.
I love jewelry, but appraising and selling are two entirely different businesses, and I choose selling and research as my business.

Instead, I add articles on a regular basis to JEWEL CHAT on line Magazine, a wonderful reference for  information on many makers and styles of vintage jewelry.
