G.K. LOWE, 1935
No. 1,994,826
Bracelet
George K. Lowe

We have had several bracelets using this
design.

TORCH
BRACELET
gold plated metal hinged bangle bracelet with clear rhinestone
and silver torches applied on three sides, 7-1/8" by 1-5/8" in the front and
1" at the back. It is marked on the inside "PAT
1994826
" and has the letter R in a square mark, the meaning of which is
unknown. It is hinged in two places and it is in excellent vintage
condition. GK Lowe applied for this patent in November of 1934 and I imagine
this bracelet was made about that same time. Miriam Haskell also used this
same base bangle in some of her bracelets, and this is one of them

HERE
, shown for reference only. This would also have been used by other
jewelry companies, so I am not saying that I think it is by Haskell, it
isn’t. It is a comfortable and versatile style, and a very unusual piece.
