Just wonderful in person. Each piece is marked "MADE IN FRANCE".  The back shows crimping of the stones, like Countess Cissy Zoltowska CIS designs, the "S" hook clasp in similar to vintage Dior pieces, and this is why I make this attribution. In excellent condition, this set will be the highlight of any collection. JAC  J.A. Cohen, Netherlands, Art Deco style marcasite and 835 silver bracelet, brooch and earrings with embossed and partially frosted and embossed glass inserts, marcasites and onyx bar links, circa 1980. The bracelet is 7-1/3" by 1-5/8", brooch 4" by 1-5/8", and pendant clip back earrings 2-1/3". Other pieces by this maker can be seen in the Christie's Elizabeth Taylor Auction in December 2011, HERE. Mr. Cohen was based in Amsterdam, but has since passed away. He was born in 1941 and died in 1993. According to Ginger Moro's wonderful book, "European Designer Jewelry" on page 233, Cohen found vintage molded glass elements in Paris and combined them with modern silver, onyx, marcasites, and chrysoprase to fashion his Deco inspired jewelry. According to Cohen, he was also inspired by the Amsterdam School designs from earlier in the 20th Century.   View   View   View   View   View   View   View   View   #X38723

PLEASE NOTE: Regretfully, it is no longer possible to respond to individual questions regarding jewelry history, identification or value, or to offer written or verbal appraisals or opinions. The demand for this kind of information is absolutely too overwhelming for one dealer to fill.
I love jewelry, but appraising and selling are two entirely different businesses, and I choose selling and research as my business.

Instead, articles are added on a regular basis to JEWEL CHAT on line Magazine, a wonderful reference for  information on many makers and styles of vintage jewelry.
