 VICTORIAN agate bracelet with an engraved plaque that says, "AR Clothier. 111 London. Rd. Chippenham. WRCD 47/2". I suspect that perhaps this was an advertising piece from the early 1800s.     VICTORIAN sterling love token charm bracelet. The 1880's engraved coins were decorated by hand to create floral motifs and initials. Pieces like this are often called "sweetheart jewelry", the idea being that sailors did these on board their ship to bring back to their sweethearts, though these coins can be seen for sale in some Victorian catalogues as well. One heart charm had a spider and spider web, one is enameled in green and says "Home Sweet Home", others have the initials "HR" on the back, one is engraved "Emily" and some are embossed with the message "I Love U". The charms are all Asian designs and include a gate; fan; building; Buddah; rice bowl; teapot; rickshaw; two kinds of shoes; a container of some sort; a fan with a lady's head on it; a coin; a cart with moving wheels; a sea shell; a pagoda; and a sanpan. CHARM bracelet with 17 wonderful charms, some are marked sterling and some not, but most test as sterling (between .800 and .925). The charms include a railroad lantern with red lens; a bird in flight; a marriage license that says "Marriage License State of Bliss"; an old shoe; a license plate; a thermometer that says "WOW" on the back; a top hat; a "No Parking" sign; a, aqua enameled lovebirds charm; a pair of scissors that open and close; an old cart with moving wheels; a Deco horse with clear, red and blue rhinestones on both sides; an envelope; a ladder that opens; and an unusual wrist watch charm. The ones marked sterling are the old shoe, top hat, and envelope, but most of them do look sterling. The lady from whom I purchased this says the clasp style is the giveaway that Feinberg did this wonderful bracelet, and it is a hefty well made piece of obvious quality.
